Badlands is a tactile exploration of erosion, time, and the quiet majesty of land shaped by centuries. Inspired by the layered sediment and rock formations of the Badlands in South Dakota, this series captures the earth’s memory—its slow movement, its quiet power—in fiber form.

By using fiber, a traditionally soft and flexible medium, the series invites viewers to reflect on the tension between delicacy and resilience—just as the Badlands appear fragile yet endure harsh climates and passage of time. The compositions are both abstract and deeply grounded, offering a quiet reverence for the way nature layers history, sediment, and story.
